Born in Lyon where she began her musical studies, Isabelle Dubuis continued her training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. She obtained a first Prize in piano unanimously as well as a first Prize in chamber music in the class of Jean Hubeau. She also completed a postgrade in chamber music.
She then meets musicians who will have a decisive influence on her development, such as Jean-Claude Pennetier or Pascal Devoyon, for whom she will become an assistant at the CNSM in Paris a few years later. It was in London that she decided to complete her musical studies by joining the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. During 2 years of improvement (Advanced Solo Studies) she studied with Joan Havill and benefited from the advice of Robin Bowman. Rewarded by the Concert Recital Diploma, she also received the Lord Mayor Prize there (awarded for the first time to a non-British musician). Winner of several international competitions (4th prize GFASMC Paris – 3rd prize Senigallia – 1st prize Epinal- Finalist Busoni etc.), Isabelle Dubuis gives concerts as a soloist and in chamber music in many countries. Passionate about pedagogy, she has been teaching since 1992 at the Paris Conservatory (Cnsmdp) An experienced chamber musician, Isabelle Dubuis was the pianist of the Galitzine ensemble from 1997 to 2014 and is one of the founding members of the Kalyria Ensemble. |
